How Do I know If The One Eighty is Right For Me?

The One Eighty is a specialist, high-support pathway for those who feel “stuck” in a cycle. If you fit any or all of the following criteria and are ready to work towards a new baseline then get in touch.

You feel "locked" in protective states of worry, stress, fatigue, brain fog, or overwhelm.

Your brain is a sophisticated “prediction machine” whose primary job is not to make you happy, but to keep you alive. When life feels inescapable, it can trigger primitive “shut-down” responses to conserve your resources. Whether it is the “Enforced Shut Down” of chronic fatigue or the “Long-term Submission” of depression, these are automatic biological programs designed for survival, not conscious choices.

You have various unexplained symptoms – such as depression, anxiety, pain or insomnia

All chronic symptoms are 100% real and physically experienced, but in the absence of acute injury, they are often generated by a sensitised alarm system rather than structural damage. We view these “misfiring” alarms (from gastric disturbances to palpitations) as signatures of a nervous system that has become too efficient at detecting threat. Our work focuses on updating the “software” of the brain to reinterpret these signals from “danger” back to “safe”.

You have been on medication for depression or anxiety for a while, and are uncertain if this medication is working.

Medication is often prescribed during periods of extreme stress when the body is signalling distress in an appropriate manner, but medicines alone are unlikely to provide a pathway to ultimate health. While useful for “management” in the short term, long-term use can create a “physiological fog” or lead to side effects that diminish your overall vitality. We provide the expert clinical assessment needed to determine if your current “hardware” support is serving your recovery or if it is time to move beyond mere coping.

You have feelings of loss of control around certain types of foods, in a way that feels biologically driven, and like the ability to choose has been removed.

The CRAVED Scale has recently been developed based on diagnostic criteria for substance use disorders meaning that Food Addiction is becoming more clinically recognised.

It can be summarised as

Compulsion: powering urges to consume,

Reaching: increase tolerance and need,

Activities neglected: ignoring what you once valued,

Volume: having more than you intended,

Exclusion: causes withdrawal,

Damage despite awareness: use continues.

Food Addiction, like all addictions has its roots in neurobiology. Food Addiction treatment is not about willpower, dieting or exercising. Food Addiction feels like drug or alcohol addiction, and should be similarly treated.

You require a clinical safety net for complex needs and Synchronous Deprescribing, where medical tapering and somatic work occur simultaneously.

Standard medical models often fail because chemical tapering and psychological integration happen sequentially, or not at all. Within our multidisciplinary “Clinical Triangle,” we replace fragmented care with a single, integrated pathway where psychiatric oversight and neuro-restorative strategy occur at the same time. This ensures that as medications are safely reduced, you are actively building the somatic tools and resilience necessary to reset a hijacked alarm system.

Perhaps you recently removed alcohol or have discontinued medication and want to help your body and mind adapt to the new way of being.

We view previous self-medication as a “Biological Mandate”—an automatic survival strategy, similar to hunger, rather than a choice. Once chemical support has been removed, the nervous system often remains in a state of hypervigilance that requires a “huge” amount of internal energy to maintain. We utilise the Science of Unlearning to help you rewire these pathways, resolve the “energy debt” of your past, and reclaim your vitality for a life YOU lead.

About Me

My path into neuro-restorative strategy is built on a foundation of rigorous academic study and ten years of deep clinical integration. I hold two postgraduate degrees – Metabolic Health and Addiction Medicine, both awarded with Distinction. I am an Advanced Practitioner Member of Addiction Professionals.

I synthesise metabolic science with neural reprocessing to resolve the “allostatic distress” that maintains chronic symptoms and dependency.

I operate as a specialised, clinician-adjacent practitioner, within an elite team of doctors, and I am among a small global cohort trained in Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapeutic Coaching (EAET).

In addition, I use my ten years of body-based and somatic certifications and my own lived-experience of distress-resolution, working with clients in a progressive way where even the most “stuck” internal states can shift.
